MAKING PRESENT series

A few years ago, my vision began to deteriorate drastically. What was once a coherent image has become a fluid landscape of blurred, overlapping silhouettes, where boundaries soften and reality appears in constant transition.
Through reflection photography, I explore and communicate this altered way of seeing. The photographs reveal a world composed of shifting layers, where forms merge, dissolve, and reappear. Reflections transform ordinary scenes into spaces that are simultaneously real and surreal, creating visual narratives that resist fixed interpretation.
In the Making Present series, I use reflection photography to express how I perceive the world: as a field of blurred, overlapping silhouettes where reality and illusion merge. Reflective surfaces become thresholds through which the visible dissolves into the imagined, and the present into its echo.
The layering of images generates new meanings and operates on both emotional and intellectual levels. These multi-layered compositions invite viewers to engage with the work through their own perception, memory, and imagination. As a result, each photograph can evoke different associations and interpretations, depending on the individual experience of the viewer. Each viewer completes the image differently, guided by their own memories and perceptions. In this way, the work becomes a space of encounter, where seeing is not simply given but continually created.
